Innerhalb des Computer Graphics Forum Cover Contests wird jedes Jahr ein neues Titelbild für Computer Graphics Forum, das Journal von Eurographics (European Association for Computer Graphics) von der Redaktion gewählt. Gesucht sind beeindruckende Bilder, die kreative Verwendung von Computergraphik-Technologien demonstrieren. Dieses Jahr gingen der erste und der dritte Platz an VertreterInnen des Instituts für Computergraphik und Algorithmen der Fakultät für Informatik:

1. Platz: Karoly Zsolnai, Christian Freude,Thomas Auzinger, Michael Wimmer und internationale Ko-Autoren: Beispiel von menschlicher Haut, gerendert mit der Separable Subsurface Scattering-Technik (Mehr Informationen)

3. Platz: Mathieu Le Muzic, Peter Mindek, Ludovic Autin, Johannes Sorger und Ivan Viola: HIV Virus im Blutserum, generiert im Visualisierungstool cellView (Mehr Informationen)
