The Helmut-Veith-Scholarship

In memory of our faculty member Professor Helmut Veith (1971-2016), who was an esteemed colleague and outstanding computer scientist, the Helmut-Veith-Scholarship for female master students was established. Helmut worked in the fields of logic in computer science, computer-aided verification, software engineering, and computer security and was a strong advocate and mentor for women in informatics. The Helmut-Veith-Scholarship is awarded annually to excellent and motivated female students who pursue one of the master’s programs in informatics at TU Wien. Students who are awarded the Helmut-Veith-Scholarship are supported by a grant of 6,000 Euros annually for a duration of up to two years. Apart from that, they are exempted from tuition fees. Interested students can apply by November 30 and can find more detailed information here.
