We have seen many innovations fail and a few succeed. The talk will share the key findings from his 35 years of innovation and innovation management practice.

Abstract

We have seen many innovations fail and a few succeed. The talk will share with the audience the key findings from his 35 years of innovation and innovation management practice. Desai will start by introducing his observations on the characteristics of successful innovations that can be used to assess whether an innovation will matter or not. He will follow this by introducing Innovation Rules, a pragmatic approach towards identifying promising innovation opportunities. Desai will end the talk by introducing QaDIM, a method he has formulated for identifying incremental innovation opportunities.

Biography

Prof. Desai Narasimhalu has more than 35 years of innovation and innovation management experience that has resulted in the creation and monetization of several IT technologies that were either licensed or translated into companies. He has been penning his experiences into frameworks and methods that could be used by the world at large for identifying and creating successful innovations. He is presently a Professor of Information Systems Practice and is the founding Director of its Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
