Thomas Setzer is currently heading the IT Service Operations Management (ITSOM) research group at the Chair of Internet-based Information Systems (IBIS), TU München. The group works on the development of efficient solutions to decision and planning problems for the purpose of automating and optimizing IT service operations. In this invited talk, Thomas will give an overview of current research activities at IBIS to support tasks such as large-scale server consolidation, performance modeling of DTP Systems, dynamic prioritization and overload control in shared infrastructures, risk-aware service transition management, and autonomic control and workload management for virtualized data center operations.
