Research Topics

The Institute of Computer Aided Automation is engaged in with two substantive areas: on the one hand it is active in the field of Computer Vision (Computer Vision Lab), on the other hand in the areas of automation technology, security and distributed automation, industrial software engineering, interactive system and device management as well as with real-time systems (Automation Systems).

The following research topics are current focus points of the institute: Object Recognition, 3D Vision, Document Analysis, Biometry, Motion Analysis, Visual Computing, Hardware & Software Verification for Automation Systems, Methodological aspects of the runtime behavior of programs, security, engineer compliant advancement and quality management models and methods for the development of large software systems, as well as industrial visualization and usability engineering.
