Das Informatics Innovation Center (i²c) und derStandard.at freuen sich im Rahmen der Vortragsserie „i²c Distinguished Speaker Serie“ den Erfinder des Business Model Canvas, Yves Pigneur (Professor an der HEC Lausanne, Schweiz) begrüßen zu dürfen. Y. Pigneur ist Co-Autor des Buches “Business Model Generation”, welches bisher über 600.000 mal verkauft und in 26 Sprachen übersetzt wurde.
This hands-on and interactive talk aims at presenting the Business Model Canvas for designing, assessing and challenging business models. Design thinking attitude will also be emphasized for exploring and prototyping business models. Finally, the synergy between the business model canvas, lean start-up and customer development will be briefly presented for testing value propositions and business models. The tools and methods are based on the book "Business Model Generation" Yves and Alex co-authored, which sold over 600,000 copies around the world and has been translated into over 26 languages.
Prof. Dr. Yves Pigneur is Professor of information systems at HEC Lausanne, Switzerland. He has a doctoral degree of the University of Namur, Belgium. He has been a Professor of Management Information Systems at the University of Lausanne since 1984 and has held visiting professorships at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and University of British Columbia in Vancouver. He is editor-in-chief of the academic journal "Systèmes d'information & mangement" (SIM). Alex Osterwalder and Yves Pigneur authored the book "Business Model Generation: A handbook for visionaries, game changers and challengers."
