Vienna PhD School of Informatics: Call for Applications

The Faculty of Informatics at the Vienna University of Technology invites students from all countries to apply for its Vienna PhD School of Informatics.

The Vienna PhD School of Informatics offers a three-year program with an intense period of supervised study and research, culminating in the submission of a thesis.

The PhD School’s curriculum covers the five main research areas of the Faculty of Informatics, namely:

  • Business Informatics
  • Computational Intelligence
  • Computer Engineering
  • Distributed and Parallel Systems
  • Media Informatics and Visual Computing

Each year no more than 15 students will be admitted. A selection of the admitted students may receive a scholarship amounting to EUR 1.000 per month (subject to budgetary constraints). Female applicants are explicitly encouraged to apply. In case of equal qualifications, preference will be given to female candidates.

The deadline for applications (for the study year 2013/2014) is on May 26, 2013.
